Where it all began...
Athens, Greece | October 2019

My journey in international pride movement began in Athens, Greece, in 2019, where I was honored to be invited to the World Conference to give a session on "India After 377." This session was particularly significant because India had recently decriminalized Section 377, a landmark decision that marked a new era of inclusivity and acceptance for the LGBTQ+ community in the country.
During the session, I presented the positive changes that had occurred in the year following the decriminalization. It was an enlightening experience to share India's progress with a global audience, highlighting the shifts in societal attitudes, the increased visibility and support for LGBTQ+ rights, and the empowerment of individuals who had long been marginalized.
Being a part of this conference allowed me to contribute to the global dialogue on human rights and equality, and it reinforced my belief in the power of advocacy and education in driving meaningful change.
